Who doesn't love the smell of fiber in the morning?

Oh wait, that might be me. How exciting to know that your new yarn will be in the post today and you have been waiting for so...well at least four or five days...long to have it so you could begin your new project. Because we all know there is nothing like the freshness of a new project to get your ass into gear, and get your mind off all the other issues.
Except when you manage to get your yarn while being all throw uppy and crappy<---literally. Then once you've opened the package you know you won't be able to do anything with until you can manage an entire 15 minute period without having to rush to the facilities. But you dream and you hold the yarn and you look at the yarn, you admire it's beauty and the new challenge it will create for you, it being your first stretchy yarn and all, and then you notice...wait a minute, was I sane when I ordered this? Will this be enough to finish a project? I know I'm usually so careful, checking the pattern for recommended yardage, checking the yarns yardage, checking weight, gauge recommendation. Could I possibly have completely lost my mind on this one? 90 yards in a skein? Really?
Well we'll just see about that. I go to the pattern page, checking for recommended yardage and guess what? It's not there. The pattern itself only says, in the materials list, worsted weight yarn. No yardage at all. Why would I not have noticed this? Why would I not have checked a similar project for info? Now I've made my self even sicker to my stomach than I already was. And to think just 3 days ago I thought today was going to be the beginning of something (quite literally) beautiful.

Take that, The Internets!!!!

I finally figured out the rss thing so my blog posts will now show up on rav!!! Even the internet doesn't scare me...

New yarn on Monday!!!

Hooray for online yarn. I finally found a yarn for both the thong and the willie warmer I will e knitting and according to my stalking it should arrive on Monday. I will then have to decide which to knit first. I believe the warmer, just because I can already tell it might be an issue. The pattern is a little confusing but I'm hoping that once I'm actually knitting it will all make sense.
I have never knit with stretchy yarn before but I hear if you just keep your tension normal instead of stretching it works out, I hope this is the case. Since both pieces will be knitted with stretchy yarn I hope to have the kinks worked out before starting the thong, which I know will be the one that is actually worn rather than looked at in amusement.
I still can't figure out how to properly link to ravelry with this blog so I don't have high hopes of getting any comments or suggestions on the yarn but if anyone happens to see this gimme some feedback.

hooray for muffins!!!

So, I found a recipe for muffins and to my surprise there were instructions on how to make them with no refined sugar. There will be blueberry muffins tomorrow after work!!! I'm also making some with craisins, they have sugar but Garrett isn't doing the whole lent thing and he wanted craisins. Either way you make the muffin mix separately so as i'm filling the cups I will put my blueberries in some and his craisins in the other.
I finished the iTARDIS today which was awesome because now Garrett is even more excited than he was when he was carrying it around on his ipod with a loose knot of ends that needed to be woven in, no lettering and no LED. I put the LED on so that he has to press it to make it light. We figured it would be better that way, for saving the battery and all.
I am now beginning a corporate zombie for his brother in law. It will be wearing a pink shirt, and i'm kind of excited to finish and give it to him. I believe that might be all for me this evening, so...

Thank God for Rocco's!

We just ate at Rocco's and it was awesome. Who would have thought, of all places, Rocco's does not add any refined sugar to their meat or marinara sauces. The pasta, also without any refined sugar. I was so happy I didn't have to eat a steak or something boring, that I ended up getting way too much food, but Atticus was quite happy about the meatballs he got for dinner, so it all worked out. That's my update, just wanted to let everyone know that Rocco's is even more awesome than I ever thought it was.

LEDs and the law of Murphy...

We were going to go out to eat, and since we would be close I suggested we stop at Michael's. I wanted to see if they had a single LED, possibly in a kit, for Garrett's iTARDIS. He wanted to eat before so I said that would be fine and if Michael's was closed no biggie we could go some other time. He then insisted that we stop at Michael's first because the iTARDIS needed a light. They didn't have one, but that didn't stop him from helping me scour the store. I kind of enjoy the fact that I am knitting him something for the first time in 9 or 10 years of being together and he's actually excited about it. Maybe this makes me lame or silly, but I don't care.
That is all.

I don't blog much...

so don't expect this to be updated often. In the beginning there will be multiple updates, but they will soon die out. At this moment there is not much to say, so I will leave it here...
